How to Use a Tractor Safely
Presently, new or used tractors in Japan both come with some in-built safety measures. For instance the hitch is made safe by a chain or a lock so that when the tractor is being operated, the possibility of the equipment coming loose from the hitch is eliminated. Furthermore, all the attachments of new and used tractors in Japan are carrying safety measures with them.
Some guidelines in order to ensure a safe operation of a tractor are:
Check the lubricants, fuel level and the water required. All these must me properly maintained in order to ensure smooth working of the tractor.
One thing to be considered is that never fuel your tractor’s engine while it is on. This may result in the ignition of the system due to static spark or a hot blow of wind from the engine. Always fuel the engine when it is in direct contact with the ground level and no load is present on it.
A five pound chemical extinguisher must always be present in the tractor. A first aid box also serves well in case of emergency.
Allow the gases of the engine to release before you switch on the tractor. These gases are harmful or even deadly, in some cases, for the driver’s health.
Avoid using tractors as a means of transportation. A tractor is designed to be seated by the driver only. Many people die because of this reason.
Try to spread the wheels of the tractor in a wider motion in order to avoid the overturning of the tractor to sideways. In case the tractor is used for narrow farming, extra precautions should be taken for safety purposes.
The rule of being safe while turning a tractor sideways implies the driver to slow down the speed, as a high rate of speed may result in misbalancing to either ways. A force called the Centrifugal force moves the tractor in the straight direction rather than to turn, if the rate of the speed is high. Furthermore, keep the loader close to the ground level in order to prevent any mishap.
Another safety precaution to be undertaken is not to wear clothes that are too loose as the loose parts may get tied up with the moving parts and can cause an accident.
These are few but most important ways to use a tractor safely. If you undertake all the safety measures, you can utilize the features of a tractor as full.
Mitsubishi Tractors
Mitsubishi tractors are manufactured by Mitsubishi Agricultural Machinery Co., Ltd. The company was established in June of 1980. However, this is a merger company of Mitsubishi Agricultural Machinery Co., Ltd and Satoh Agricultural Machinery Mfg. Co., Ltd. Their headquarters are located in Higashiizumo, Shimane, Japan. The company is part of the well-known Mitsubishi Group, which has quite obviously flourished and widespread its manufacturing in so many different directions and is a highly respected company.
Mitsubishi tractors were only sold in the United States for a short time. However, grey market tractors can still be found in the United States today. The grey market is often referred to as the parallel market. You could purchase grey market Yanmar tractors, Iseki tractors, Komatsu tractors, Mitsubishi tractors, and more. The grey market refers to items being sold through distribution channels, but not by the original manufacturer. This is legal, but it is not official, authorized, or intended by the manufacturer.
Mitsubishi tractors used to be distributed throughout the United States under the Cub Cadet and International Harvester brands. Now Mitsubishi has partnerships with LS Tractors, which is a company out of South Korea. This is a division of LS Cable, which used to be known as LG Cable and VST Tillers of India. Today, Mitsubishi equipment is distributed in many countries throughout Europe and Asia. They are also mildly distributed in Australia as well.
Mitsubishi has proven to always provide an abundance of products in each avenue they distribute. This includes tractors. Since Mitsubishi Agricultural Machinery Co., Ltd began, they have come out with a large number of different tractors. Each one is different. Today, Mitsubishi stands with having manufactured over forty-five tractors. This is a pretty impressive number in comparison to many other manufacturers.
While Mitsubishi may not currently sell their tractors in the United States, they are available either on the internet or through the grey market. The grey market may require some research, but they are out there. With Mitsubishi being such a well-known brand, you may want to put Mitsubishi at the top of your list for possible tractor manufacturers for your next tractor purchase.
